Abstract

The criteria of singling the middle class out of Russian regions structure are considered in the article. The author uses theoretical and methodological approaches taking into account modern Russian society stratification as well as her own study data of average income level population group of the three Middle Volga regions: Samara region, Ulyanovsk region and the Republic of Marij El. The complex approach of the singling the middle class out based on objective criteria made it possible to define this social group reproduction factors in various constituents of the Russian Federation. And it allowed emphasizing the regional characteristics of the middle class quantity and quality distribution.
